Blending Fashionable Hotel Style with Exquisite Comfort

The living room, designed as a mansion-style chamber, sets the tone for the entire residence. With its large windows offering breathtaking views of the waterfront, the space becomes a delicate and exquisite framed scene, incorporating aesthetics of art and laying out the fun of life. The integration of visual perception and luxurious nobleness is manifested in the aspects of taste, collections, and life, while the magnificence of the mansion is interpreted through the exhibits.

The main building materials used in the space include iron pieces, stone, marble, solid wood, and special paints. This creative project challenges the boundaries between a fashionable hotel and a living space, achieving a perfect balance of exquisiteness and comfort. The choice of large windows emphasizes the openness of the view, while different materials are applied to interpret the low-key elegance of the space. The sequence projection arrangement and delicate lines of furnishings create an atmosphere of unrestrained spirit and free imagination.

Spanning approximately 256 square feet, the residence features three bedrooms, one living room, and one dining room. The space layout, materials, and furniture exhibit the true spirit of workmanship, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere for residents and guests alike.

Lu Hsu Feng faced several challenges during the design process. Incorporating environmental protection thinking, the design utilizes the natural textures of solid wood and stone to complement the fabulous scenery of the riverbank landscape. The use of mirrors and glass as mediums adds a visual shock to the space, while gray color tones control the chroma and enrich the overall space levels.

Craft and Art is a testament to the designer's meticulous research and attention to detail. The combination of furnishings, art collections, and decorations, along with a single connecting material, creates a spatial expression that broadens visual perception. The balanced hardware and software incorporate humanistic warmth into the elegance of gray shades, highlighting the status of the dwellers and exploring a refined lifestyle.

Completed in September 2019 in Tamsui, New Taipei City, Craft and Art has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
